Christmas in Sandymount

That magical time of the year is almost upon us, when the Drawing Room at Aberdeen Lodge is
transformed to embrace the Christmas season. As we leave the colours of autumn behind, the fires
are lighting and our Edwardian lodge is looking beautifully festive. We can safely say that this is the
Halpin Family’s favourite time of year and one of the best times to join us to soak up Christmas
cheer, for a pre-Christmas break to Dublin.

We may be slightly biased in this matter, however we believe that there is no nicer place to spend
the build up to Christmas than Sandymount Village. Festive cheer is abound, as we welcome guests
with the usual generosity of hospitality, host fireside afternoon teas and take brisk winter walks on
the nearby beach with our Golden Retrievers Sandy and Robin.

Aside from an abundance of Aberdeen Lodge goodwill this festive season we are excited to share
some fantastically festive events which are planned for Dublin. Some of our top picks are the Wild Lights
at Dublin Zoo where this year the theme is Enchanted Zoo, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Nearby Bord
Gáis Energy Theatre or Dublin City Winter Lights  which bring the city to life after dark.

Following a day of local adventure there is no nicer way to spend the evening than in the Drawing
Room here at Aberdeen Lodge with a cup of tea and Ann’s home baked cookies or over dinner in
one of the many local restaurants in the nearby village. Pat will be delighted to recommend his
favourites to ensure you enjoy a wonderful local dining experience.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Aberdeen Lodge this December be it for a
shopping trip to Dublin City, only 7 minutes away by local train, a family visit to one of the Christmas
Pantos or simply to soak up the festive atmosphere in Sandymount Village.
