Trinity College and the Book of Kells

Founded in 1592, Trinity College, is Ireland’s oldest University and one of the most famous educational institutions in the world. Trinity College has many attractions with its magnificent Old Library, which is home to The Book of Kells and its Science Gallery to engage and encourage young people’s interest in Science. www.tcd.ie

Guinness Storehouse

The Guinness Storehouse is one of Dublin’s most popular tourist attractions located in St. James’s Gate Brewery. It is the home of the black stuff – Guinness, where you can explore and partake in an incredible journey through the history and making of the world famous beer. www.guinness-storehouse.com

The National Museum

The National Museum on Kildare Street holds one of the world’s largest collections of Bronze Age Gold. It is also home to the mysterious Iron Age bog bodies that were preserved in the bogs of Ireland 2,000 years ago.? www.museum.ie

St Patrick’s Cathedral

St Patrick’s Cathedral was traditionally the site of a holy well used by St Patrick for baptisms, and a church dating back to late 5th century. This popular architectural and historical site offers guided tours each day. www.stpatrickscathedral.ie

Christchurch Cathedral

The Cathedral church of the Holy Trinity, more commonly called Christ Church was Viking Dublin’s Cathedral. Visit and enjoy the cathedral’s beautiful interior and the fascinating medieval crypt. www.christchurchdublin.ie

Dublin Castle

The heart of historic Dublin, Dublin Castle is a breath taking attraction that should be on any visitor’s must-see list. www.dublincastle.ie

Marsh’s Library

A perfectly preserved library of the early Enlightenment in central Dublin. The library opened in 1707 and was Ireland’s first public library. This hidden gem are still welcoming visitors, tourists and scholars. www.marshlibrary.ie

Kilmainham Gaol

Kilmainham Gaol is one of the largest unoccupied jails in Europe, which offers an in-depth insight into some of the most heroic and tragic events in Ireland’s struggle for independence from the 1780s to the 1920s. www.kilmainhamgaolmuseum.ie

Teeling Distillery

Teeling Distillery is an Irish whiskey distillery established in Dublin in 2015. It is the first new whiskey distillery to have opened in Dublin, once a world whiskey distilling capital, in over 125 years. www.teelingdistillery.com

The National Gallery

The National Gallery of Ireland houses the national collection of European and Irish fine art. It is located just off the beautiful Merrion Square park. www.nationalgallery.ie
