Sandymount Village

We feel very fortunate to enjoy the best of both worlds at Aberdeen Lodge, Nestled in the village of Sandymount, a leafy, seaside suburb just minutes from Dublin City Centre.

Sandymount is well known amongst locals for its beautiful long, beach Sandymount Strand. The beach is overlooked by a 19th-century Martello tower built for coastal defence. It is a popular spot for fishing, kayaking, and weekend walks with stunning views across Dublin Bay to Howth Head.

At the heart of Sandymount village is the traditional Village Green. Guests are spoilt for choice with the selection of restaurants and gastropubs located in the village serving delicious local produce.

Some of our favourite restaurants in the village are

  • Dunne and Crescenzi
  • Browne’s of Sandymount
  • Mulligans Gastro Pub
  • Indie Spice
  • Bujo Burger
  • Marios
  • Petes

We love nothing more than to share our Sandymount village recommendations with our guests and never tire of our location so close to nature, despite being minutes from a European capital city.

Some of the places you might find Ann, Pat, the children and Sandy, of course, on an afternoon walk are

  • Sandymount Beach
  • Irishtown Nature Park
  • Booterstown Marsh Nature Reserve
